What HoldShoot collects, who sees it, and how to delete it

HoldShoot is operated by Annspired LLC, an Annspired Labs company in Mobile, Alabama (“we”). It has two parts: the HoldShoot website at holdshoot.com, where athletes, parents and coaches keep scores, find coaches, book lessons and run coaching businesses, and the HoldShoot iPhone app, which analyses your shooting position. This policy covers both. We do not sell your information and we do not show ads.

What we collect on the website

Your account: Name, email address and password. Passwords are handled by our sign-in provider and are never visible to us. We record when you accepted our terms.
Your profile and athlete details (you choose what to fill in): Photo, sports and events, level, club, city and state. Optionally: date of birth, home address, parent or guardian and emergency contacts, allergies, medical conditions, medications, injuries, vision, dominant hand and eye, classifications, membership numbers, equipment, goals and notes for your coach.
Your shooting records: Match and practice scores, shot values, series and finals, the photos or PDFs of score printouts you upload, training journal entries, goals, and your coach’s notes, feedback and homework.
Coaching and bookings: Coaches you connect with, coach requests, sessions, events you sign up for, lesson packages, and messages and alerts sent through the site.
Payments: Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card or bank details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store card numbers. We keep a record of each payment: what it was for, the amount, fees, status and date.
Coach information: For coaches and coaching businesses: the content of your coach page (bio, photos, services and prices, locations, contact details), your team, your roster, your payout status with Stripe, and background-check records you upload or order (stored privately and seen only by you and our reviewers).
Location: The city or ZIP code you type into a search, or your device’s location if you press “Near me”. It is used to find coaches and events near you and is not saved to your account. Your last coach search is remembered only in your own browser.
Technical information: Our hosting providers keep standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, errors) to run and protect the service. The site stores your sign-in session and a few preferences in your browser. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking.

Who can see your information

You, and for an athlete under 18, your parent or guardian, who manages the account.
Coaches you choose to connect with. You decide what each coach sees under Profile → Sharing (for example scores, journal, goals, calendar). Sharing your profile with a coach includes your athlete details, which can include your date of birth, medical notes and emergency contacts, so a coach can train you safely.
Other members, only if you are an adult and make your profile public. You pick which parts appear (for example photo, city, sports, match scores, social links). Public profiles are shown only to signed-in HoldShoot members and are kept out of search engines. Profiles of athletes under 18 are never public.
Other shooters at an event you sign up for. Only the coach running the event and the other shooters registered for it can see who is registered, and only if the coach shows the list. Unless your profile is public, you appear as your first name and last initial.
Anyone, for coach pages. A coach’s page is public, like a business website, and can appear in search engines. A coach who works from home is shown only by city or ZIP area.
HoldShoot administrators, to provide support, review background checks and reports, and keep the platform safe.

Companies that process data for us

We use these providers to run HoldShoot. Each receives only what it needs for its job:

Supabase: our database, sign-in and file storage.
Netlify: hosts the website and runs our server functions.
Stripe: processes payments and pays coaches. Coaches who take payments have their own Stripe account and agree to Stripe’s terms.
Anthropic (through Netlify’s AI service): reads the score printouts you upload to fill in your shots, and helps coaches draft their page from links they provide.
Resend: sends account and notification emails.
Checkr (when available): runs background checks a coach orders, with that coach’s consent given directly to Checkr.
OpenStreetMap: the place names you search are looked up through it, and map images on search pages are loaded from it.
Google Fonts: supplies the site’s fonts.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone’s safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

Children and junior athletes

Accounts for athletes under 18 are created and managed by a parent or guardian. Someone under 18 can’t sign up on their own.
An athlete aged 13 to 17 can have their own login only if their parent turns it on. Athletes under 13 never have their own login; the parent enters their scores.
A coach needs the parent’s approval to connect with a junior athlete, and an approved background check to coach athletes under 18.
Juniors’ profiles are never public, and juniors appear by first name and last initial on event lists.
Parents can review, change or delete their child’s information at any time from their own account, or by emailing us.

The iPhone app

The app uses your iPhone’s camera to track your body, hand and pistol, and the microphone to time the trigger release. Frames and audio are analysed on the phone and discarded: no video, image or audio is recorded, stored or uploaded. Sessions are saved on the phone as numbers (hold stability, movement, angles and timings per shot; discipline and times per session; your display name, handedness and measurements). If you sign in, completed sessions are backed up to your HoldShoot account. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier and the email address you choose to share.

How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account we delete your profile, scores, photos, journal and other content. We keep payment records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and background-check records for the period they are valid. Database backups are kept for a limited time and then erased.

Your choices and rights

See and change your information in your profile at any time, and change what you share with each coach or make public.
Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account and everything in it, by emailing support@holdshoot.com from the address on the account. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under your state’s privacy laws; we honor those requests.
Ask us to stop non-essential emails at any time. Account, booking and payment emails are part of the service and continue while your account is open.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access rules in our database limit each record to the people allowed to see it. Card details never reach our servers. We review our security regularly. No system is perfectly secure, so if you think something is wrong, tell us right away.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that affects what we collect or share, we will update the date at the top and tell signed-in members on the site before the change takes effect.
